SUPPORT WORKER - FULL TIME

Based in the Southampton area, we are looking to recruit new staff members to our team!

The position is working 37.5 hours per week, on a 3 week rota (plus 2/3 sleep-ins per week).

Overtime is also available!


Job Summary:

At Progression Care we support Young People aged 16 + to develop the skills needed to live independently. The standard of care we provide can make a significant difference to the quality of our Young People's lives. Therefore, it's no surprise that we are seeking genuinely caring people to join our team.


If you have a passion to help others we are looking for motivated, honest and reliable staff to support our Young People with their daily lives.

Responsibilities and Duties:


Your duties will be varied, and no two days will be the same. You will be providing support for day to day living for Young People, such as education, employment, social activities, sports and hobbies etc. Alongside this you will be supporting the Young People with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management.


The Young People we work with can present challenging behaviours that can vary but occasionally can become verbally/physically aggressive. As a support worker you will be expected to manage any challenging behaviours that may arise - training will be provided .

There is no personal care element required for this position.

Your rota will include sleep ins and you will be required to work every third weekend.



Key Requirements Support Workers:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with vulnerable people (Preferred)
  • Have 2 professional references and a character reference
  • Prove a good understanding of Maths, English and ICT
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Have a caring and approachable nature
  • Full driving licence preferred (with access to own vehicle and business insurance would be a bonus!)
  • Be prepared to go through the necessary personal background checks
  • Willingness to undergo the necessary training
